Rock, NC
Peyton Holland is a passionate advocate for Career & Technical Education (CTE), dedicated to connecting education, industry, and communities to prepare the next generation of skilled leaders. As Executive Director of the National Technical Honor Society, he leads efforts to honor and empower CTE students across the nation. NTHS serves over 100,000 members annually, providing career development, leadership development, service, and recognition opportunities at the chapter level. NTHS also awards over $335,000 in scholarships each year to support its members on their career journey.
Peyton brings over 20 years of experience in CTE, including nearly a decade as a Career & Technical Student Organization state director prior to coming to NTHS. He has worked as a facilitator, consultant, and professional speaker with schools, associations, agencies, municipalities, and companies across the country, often focusing on workforce development, career readiness, and leadership development.
His passion for skill development is deeply rooted in his upbringing. Raised in rural North Carolina, Peyton grew up working on the family farm and at the sawmill alongside his father -experiences that shaped his belief in the dignity of work and the power of hands-on learning to transform lives. This belief was amplified through a transformative Career & Technical Education experience in high school that ignited a passion for student engagement and showcasing the power of CTE. That passion was further solidified during his graduate work abroad, where he earned a Master’s in Business from the Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management in Aix-en-Provence, France, and a Master’s in Global Innovation Management from NC State University in Raleigh, NC.
Whether it is on the family farm, the TEDx stage, or running a national non-profit, Peyton is driven by a deep belief in the value of skill and the critical role CTE plays in shaping our future workforce.
