Original source: Pima Medical Institute Pima Medical Institute is pleased to announce its Lead Pharmacy Instructor from the Colorado Springs campus, Jill Aldridge, was recently named Faculty of the Year by the Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools. Aldridge was recognized for her outstanding dedication to students. She was nominated for the award by Faculty Coordinator Monica Vanderbeek, who also works at the Colorado Springs campus. ![]() The award focuses on three areas: commitment, performance and leadership/professionalism. To be named Faculty of the Year, a nominee must show strength in all three. “Exemplary is one way to describe our Lead Pharmacy Instructor, Jill Aldridge,” Vanderbeek wrote. “Her personal commitment to every single student that enters her classroom is phenomenal. She patiently guides students through pharmaceutical calculations and prepares her students to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam by holding review sessions on her own time. She helps her coworkers when needed, meets deadlines and her dependability is unfailing.” Aldridge was given the award during the association’s annual conference. Vanderbeek said she is a model instructor who displays a personal commitment to excellence, high performance and professionalism. “I am so honored to work with the very best instructors and the most dedicated and supportive management team,” Aldridge said. “It is a wonderful feeling to drive to work every day knowing that I am part of this amazing Colorado Springs campus that continues to strive for excellence and reach new heights.” Aldridge has been the Lead Pharmacy Technician Instructor at the Colorado Springs campus since 2013. She worked in a variety of pharmacy settings before entering into education. She joined Pima Medical after earning her associate degree in education.
