The award focuses on three areas: commitment, performance and leadership/professionalism. To be named Faculty of the Year, a nominee must show strength in all three.

“Exemplary is one way to describe our Lead Pharmacy Instructor, Jill Aldridge,” Vanderbeek wrote. “Her personal commitment to every single student that enters her classroom is phenomenal. She patiently guides students through pharmaceutical calculations and prepares her students to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam by holding review sessions on her own time. She helps her coworkers when needed, meets deadlines and her dependability is unfailing.”

Aldridge was given the award during the association’s annual conference. Vanderbeek said she is a model instructor who displays a personal commitment to excellence, high performance and professionalism.

“I am so honored to work with the very best instructors and the most dedicated and supportive management team,” Aldridge said. “It is a wonderful feeling to drive to work every day knowing that I am part of this amazing Colorado Springs campus that continues to strive for excellence and reach new heights.”

Aldridge has been the Lead Pharmacy Technician Instructor at the Colorado Springs campus since 2013. She worked in a variety of pharmacy settings before entering into education. She joined Pima Medical after earning her associate degree in education.

The Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools (CACCS) represents the state’s career colleges and the more than 30,000 students they serve each year. More information about the association may be found online at http://coloradoprivateschoolassociation.com.
