Career Schools on Path To Create 5 Million Career Professionals
The nation’s postsecondary career education colleges and universities prepared 556,635 career professionals in 2018 according to research published today. This brings the total number to 1,783,764 career professionals produced during the first three years of the sector’s “Campaign to Create 5 Million Career Professionals” within 10 years.

Congressional Democrats are moving ahead with an effort to thwart Education Secretary Betsy DeVos’ new policy that makes it more difficult for federal student loan borrowers to cancel their debt based on a college’s misconduct.
 
House to consider Rep. Susie Lee’s resolution blocking Dept. of Education borrower rule – The Nevada Independent
The House is expected to consider next week a resolution introduced by Rep. Susie Lee that would keep a Department of Education rule from going into effect that makes it more difficult for borrowers who are defrauded by their school or harmed by their school’s closure to receive restitution.

Undercover ICE recordings reveal tactics of fake university that led to 250 students arrested – USA Today
The undercover recording by ICE, reviewed by the Detroit Free Press, a part of the USA TODAY Network, and partly transcribed in a sentencing memo, offers a peek into a four-year undercover operation by the Department of Homeland Security that set up a fake university in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
