House Committee on Education and Labor held a markup on H.R. 4674, the College Affordability Act Yesterday, the House Committee on Education and Labor concluded Day 1 of a markup titled “markup of the H.R. 4674, College Affordability Act.” On Tuesday, the House Committee on Education and Labor adopted several amendments to the Democrats' sweeping $400 billion plan to overhaul federal higher education policy. The Committee had more than two dozen proposed amendments during the first-day markup of H.R. 4674. The most important amendment from Day 1 is the following change on 90/10:
