CECU Board Member, Bhavna Tailor, recognized at Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs, Intrapreneurs and Brand Builders Event
Congratulations to CECU Board of Directors' member, Bhavna Tailor on being recognized last night as one of the Top 25 most influential women of New Jersey.
 
Bhavna Tailor is the Vice President of Operations and School Director at the Nutley campus of Eastwick College.
 
Western Tech Partners Up with Mopar and Sponsors a New Wrap for a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat at the NHRA Races, bringing national attention to the shortage of Automotive Technicians
Western Technical College has had a partnership with the Don Schumacher Racing Team (DSR) for the last 10 years. The DSR team is a nationally recognized racing team in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). As part of the Internship Course in the Automotive Program at Western Tech, Western Tech sends students who meet the criteria out to complete their internship with the DSR team.

Why Private Colleges are Better Addressing the Skills Gap
Private, non-profit and for-profit colleges and universities offer career-specific degrees that are introducing women, veteran and minority students to jobs that greatly enhance their quality of life. Traditional four-year colleges that haven’t adjusted with the times could learn a thing or two from career-focused, private schools by offering programs that better prepare college students for the modern workforce.

Four more parents have pleaded guilty Monday in the college admissions bribery scandal, and a Texas man accused of helping to orchestrate the scheme also agreed to reverse his plea and accept guilt.

Skills are the new currency of the labor market, and higher education needs to get better at explaining to employers and students how academic programs help fill the skills gap.
