Holley wants students and staff to know there is hope. The Pensacola School of Massage Therapy and Health Careers offers a medical assistant program that's two months shorter than Virginia College's program. "We can evaluate those transcripts and see if we want to transfer those over and make it easy. There is hope for these students," said Holley. Holley says there are about 75 students enrolled at Pensacola School of Massage Therapy and Health Careers, leaving room for at least 15 more students. She's taking it a step further. Holley has interviewed educators and admission representatives from Virginia College in the hopes of hiring them before the holidays. If you are looking to transfer into their medical assistant program, employment or just not sure what to do next call 850-474-1330. She says no matter what program students were in, her team will help provide them with answers to financial questions and ways to move forward.

The Escambia County School District has offered one suggestion for Virginia College students contemplating their next move: enroll at George Stone Technical College. "We urge Virginia College's students to take time to consider their employment goals and to come in with their transcripts and meet with one of our counselors and one of our instructors," said George Stone Technical College Principal T.J. Rollins in a news release from the school district. "Some of our programs may be exactly what their students need to continue their life's plan."
