Career Schools on Path To Create 5 Million Career Professionals
The nation’s postsecondary career education colleges and universities prepared 556,635 career professionals in 2018 according to research published today. This brings the total number to 1,783,764 career professionals produced during the first three years of the sector’s “Campaign to Create 5 Million Career Professionals” within 10 years.

Two senators on Tuesday were sworn into posts on committees that deal with education issues following former Sen. Johnny Isakson’s (R-Ga.) retirement last month.

Academy of Art University will pay San Francisco for the affordable housing it eliminated – San Francisco Chronicle
The Academy of Art University will pay $37.6 million to San Francisco to build affordable housing — replacing units the city said the school illegally removed from the market — as part of an updated legal settlement approved Tuesday by the Board of Supervisors.

Accreditors sharpen focus on equity in student outcomes – Education Dive
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), a regional accreditor, is newly requiring institutions within its purview to separate out data on graduation rates for students by gender, ethnicity and socioeconomic status, among other measures. 
Eastwick College’s Donations to Local Food Banks reaches $200,000
A huge milestone - $200,000 in donations - was reached by Eastwick College’s “Feed The Hungry” program this past December. Throughout the year, Eastwick College students and staff partner with local companies to raise funds for “Feed The Hungry,” Eastwick College’s centerpiece community outreach program. These funds are then matched by Tom Eastwick, president and founder of Eastwick College.
  San Joaquin Valley College Announces New Campus in Santa Maria
San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC), an accredited family-owned college that offers certificate, associate and bachelor of science degree programs in the medical, business and technical fields, today announced a new campus in Santa Maria. The College is located at 303 Plaza Drive, Santa Maria, CA 93454.

San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC), an accredited family-owned college that offers certificate, associate and bachelor of science degree programs in the medical, business and technical fields, today announced a new campus in Rancho Mirage. The College is located at 34275 Monterey Avenue, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270.

Southeastern Institute Charlotte to Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Newest Campus
Southeastern Institute will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of the school’s new Charlotte location at 207 Regency Executive Park Drive. Following the ceremony, attendees may take an official tour of the new, state-of-the-art facility.
