Career Education Review, a publication of Career Education Colleges and Universities, is the career college information source dedicated to providing top management, owners, sector leaders and organizations with the in-depth information required to operate a successful educational enterprise.

Career Education Review is published four times a year. CECU members receive free access to CER as an additional benefit of membership. Non-CECU members may subscribe to Career Education Review for $329.00 per year.  CECU members must log in to access the publication. New Castle School of Trades is celebrating its 75th anniversary of providing high-demand, skilled trades education in Pennsylvania, showcasing a steady growth and culminating in a large Automotive Lab expansion. North-West College, in California, observed its 55th anniversary this year, focusing on healthcare fields and a lasting legacy. Both colleges continue to expand and thrive in the private postsecondary education field.men fill the majority of the seats.

Under Secretary of Education Kvaal Discusses For-Profit Colleges at CECU CEO Summit

As the 2022 midterm elections approached, more than 130 career education leaders gathered in Phoenix, AZ, to attend the annual CECU CEO Summit. The Under Secretary of Education, James Kvaal, kicked off the event with a speech focused on higher education issues and the role of for-profit colleges. During day two of the Summit, attendees had an opportunity to hear from industry experts who discussed important issues related to the sector.

A Summary of the Department of Education's Final Regulations on 90/10 and Other Issues

On October 28, 2022, the U.S. Department of Education  published its final rule that makes significant changes to the 90/10 and change of ownership regulations, as well as establishes regulations for Federal Pell Grants for Prison Education Programs. This article provides a summary analysis of the areas of the final rule that are of greatest interest and concern to CECU members and other stakeholders.
