Additional Updated ED Guidance on Title IV Flexibilities and HEERF Reporting
Thursday, May 21 | 2:00PM ET
Presenter: Nicholas Kent, Senior VP of Policy and Research, CECU - Nicholas.Kent@career.org
Last Friday, the U.S. Department of Education published updated guidance that provides institutions of higher education new and expanded Title IV flexibilities due to the Coronavirus emergency. This guidance supplements previous related guidance issued by the Department as well as implements several provisions of the CARES Act. Covered topics include distance education, financial statements and compliance audits, accreditor site visits, verification, R2T4, campus-based programs, and leaves of absence. Additionally, on May 6, 2020, the Department announced new reporting requirements for institutions that received their student portion of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund. To support the sector, CECU has developed a reporting template that institutions can use to meet the Department’s initial 30-day reporting deadline. Join CECU for a webinar discussing the Department’s most recent guidance and HEERF reporting requirements. Although time is allotted for live Q&A, attendees are encouraged to submit questions ahead of time through the webinar registration form.
