Professional Certification
CECU has partnered with MaxKnowledge to create the largest employee training network for the postsecondary career education sector. CECU awards the Certified Higher Education Professional (CHEP) certification for completion of approved training through MaxKnowledge and a network of partnering associations and agencies representing career education institutions.
The CHEP credential recognizes employees of career education institutions who strive for excellence in their respective positions. Certified professionals receive a digital certificate with an embedded open badge to share and showcase their achievements. Participating institutions are provided with digital recognition seals to demonstrate and display their commitment to excellence.

Placement Platform
BlueRecruit is an online platform that connects skilled trades graduates to hiring companies across the country. Through this partnership, graduates from CECU member schools have full access to this recruiting tool focused on jobs they are specifically training for. Graduates can build their job profile within the BlueRecruit system to be matched with employers actively looking for trained graduates.
The BlueRecruit School Platform, "Booker," is live, accessible and complimentary to all institutions within the CECU network. Through this custom dashboard, employment verification data will be easily accessible for all students hired through the platform.

D&O/E&O ProgramCECU has teamed with Chartis Insurance Company and Cobbs Allen to offer an insurance program that protects against traditional risks, most of which are excluded by the major insurance carriers. This program is exclusive to CECU and Cobbs Allen and includes explicit coverage unavailable from other carriers, including coverage for the return of tuition and fees, breach of a student contract, and coverage for deceptive trade practices. The CECU/CA insurance program also gives institutions the right to use certain prominent law firms with expertise in the PSCU sector. In addition, Cobbs Allen has negotiated steep discounts through Travelers Insurance Company for traditional property and casualty and workers' compensation coverage. Financial LiteracyCECU has partnered with Enriched Academy to offer financial literacy education and lifelong learning to your students and staff.
Enriched Academy works with individuals and organizations, including colleges, across the country to provide individuals with the critical financial skills, knowledge, and habits they need to succeed. By offering engaging video-based lessons with an online resource portal, they provide all the tools for your students' financial success. CECU Member schools will receive a special rate of $85.00 per student. |
Admissions Professional Certification and Training
CECU has partnered with the Association for the Advancement of the College Admissions Profession (AACAP) to provide national certification to admission professionals focused on career education. Formed in 2017 by professional counselors, community college leaders, higher ed leaders and guidance professionals, AACAP seeks to unite admission professionals in serving the needs of students and their families with confidence, quality and ethical standards. The Certified Admission Professional (CAP) certification signifies dedication and recognition to the noble profession of admissions. Preparatory courses also available for members.

Soft Skills StudyCECU has partnered with QASPIR (Quality Assurance Strategic Planning Institutional Research) to contribute to a global research study to measure the effectiveness of faculty to facilitate soft skills training. The objective of this study is to analyze the preparedness of faculty to facilitate student development of soft skills to address the needs of the workplace, while also addressing the challenges of local and global societies. Understanding how much time and how prepared faculty are to teach soft skills will enable successful strategies to improve the lives of students in the workplace and society.

Employee Benefits PlanCECU has partnered with Hartford Insurance Company and Cobbs Allen to create CareerPro, a discounted employee benefits program for CECU members. CareerPro contains the essential elements that are a part of every good benefits program. The components include basic life, voluntary life, long-term and short-term disability, and a voluntary plan for employee personal lines of insurance. These plans have flexible designs that are able to meet each employers needs, while providing employees the means to protect their families' financial future. Student Health PlanCECU has partnered with United Healthcare and Cobbs Allen to create StudentHealth, an affordable health insurance plan for CECU students. Each college may customize its plan based on the needs of its students. Offering an alternative health insurance plan is often a piece to the puzzle that enables students to attend school.
