Jean always had an affinity for the technical field and developed a passion for A/V, access control and surveillance systems after taking on more side jobs. After he graduated he tried for months to work in that area but was told to get more
experience. He did not give up and pursued this dream even after being denied by many companies, until he decided to create a business portfolio filled with pictures of all his past jobs, a cover letter, and a resume to better market his skills and experience. Jean hand delivered this portfolio to several companies including Atlanta Home Theater. They received it on a Tuesday, called him on Wednesday, interviewed him on Thursday and he started working for them on Friday of the same week! Jean worked there and mastered his A/V skills every day. He was promoted to Project Manager after only working for 6 months. A year and half later he decided to follow his dreams and opened his own business. Jean founded Atlanta SmartHomes & Theaters (ASHaT) in March 2015. His business maintains very high growth and customer retention due to his exceptional customer service, professionalism, and low voltage EST skills he mastered in school. Jean states that he has been able to compete with larger companies, in part, because of his training from Lincoln Tech. ASHaT generated over $300,000 sales revenue last year and plans to end this year with more than $500,000 sales revenue generated through new customers and the expansion of his commercial A/V division.
