The last three years of my life showed me that there are levels to everything that you do in life. The acknowledgment of said levels and attaining them can and very much should be looked at as success. Two years ago, I lived in my car just so I could get into the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. I sacrificed. Mind you, I had a comfortable life for an unstable and relentless pursuit but I also had a vision: work for a Michelin starred restaurant and chef.
After working as a Registered Nurse for 10 years and buying hundreds of cookbooks, Christina Roman decided it was the right time to pursue her passion for food.
Being a single mom with a full-time job, she enrolled in the Escoffier Online Culinary Arts Fundamentals program because it fit her busy schedule and lifestyle. “The program enabled me to learn the foundation of professional cooking and instilled essential skills needed to make it in the industry. Doing my externship opened my eyes to the dedication and hard work that goes on behind the scenes in a restaurant,” Christina said.
