2019 Student success stories

Bazil Brown | Florida Career College

Bazil relocated from Georgia to Florida in 2016 to start a new life for himself. He wanted to do something that he could be proud of. Bazil quickly became known around campus for his professionalism and work ethic. His instructors saw him as
a quiet leader, one who didn’t complain but instead someone who kept moving forward.
Bazil had to work multiple jobs while in school to provide for himself but still maintained his attendance in school. He always remembered his goals and knew the best was yet to come.

In September of 2016, Bazil started his externship at Advantage Dermatology. He consistently called his externship coordinator for advice throughout his externship. He wanted to ensure he was doing everything correctly and doing all that he could. He was hired from his externship in November as a Medical Assistant.

After 6 months, he was promoted to Team Lead MA. He was then tasked with being the lead MA for a brand new location for Advantage Dermatology. Bazil said “FCC was absolutely a great experience for me from start to finish. I really appreciate all of the hands on training I received from administration, instructors and my peers.” Bazil still to this day calls his externship coordinator, but now he calls asking for externs that he can train and make a difference in their lives. Bazil always wants to give back to others and is scheduled to come back to the campus and speak to the Medical Assisting students.

Just recently in April 2018, he was promoted again to Vice President of Operations.
