Washington, D.C. – Former Congressman Steve Gunderson, the president and chief executive officer of the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) today issued the following statement applauding House passage of the Improving Transparency of Education Opportunities for Veterans Act of 2012 (H.R. 4057):

"With House passage of H.R. 4057, we are one step away from providing veterans with the counseling and transparency they need to make informed decisions about their education. We again thank Congressman Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) for his leadership on this issue, as well as all of his colleagues who have supported this legislation especially the members of the House Veterans Affairs Committee. We urge the President to act quickly in signing this legislation on behalf of the 212,000 veterans who attend private sector colleges and universities."
