 
June 5, 2012 APSCU Responds To DC Appeals Court Ruling
Washington, DC - Former Congressman Steve Gunderson, the president and chief executive officer of the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) today released the following statement in response to the decision reached by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit regarding APSCU's challenge to the Department of Education's Misrepresentation, Compensation and State Authorization regulations: "The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit today issued its decision in APSCU's challenge to the Department of Education's Misrepresentation, Compensation and State Authorization regulations. The decision grants significant relief to APSCU's members and the regulated community, and students will benefit as a result." "APSCU is pleased that the Court agreed that there were significant flaws with the Department's rulemaking process and with the resulting regulations in all three areas. In particular, the Court recognized legal deficiencies with the challenged regulations, which will be remanded to the Department for further revision."
