IPEDS 2006-2007 Collection Schedule

ALL institutions are required to register for the 2006-2007 data collection schedule. IDs and passwords for the upcoming collection cycle will be distributed to all institutions on August 2, 2006. Those with designated keyholders will receive information via email. All institutions for which there is no designated keyholder will receive a letter directed to the CEO containing registration information. Registration for the 2006-2007 cycle opens on August 2, 2006. On or about August 30, 2006, NCES will review the registration status of each institution. If an institution has not registered as of this date, a letter will be sent to the CEO requesting appointment of a new keyholder.

Fall Collection: Institutional Characteristics and Completions

September 6 - Fall collection opens
October 18 - Collection closes for Institutions
November 1 - Collection closes for Coordinators

Winter Collection: the combined Human Resources component (Employees by Assigned Position, Salaries, and Fall Staff), Enrollment, and Finance. Institutions will be able to lock both the Enrollment and Finance components in the winter or the spring.

December 6 - Winter collection opens
January 24 - Collection closes for Institutions
February 7 - Collection closes for Coordinators

Spring Collection:  Enrollment and Finance (for those institutions that did not lock in the winter), Student Financial Aid, and Graduation Rates

March 7 - Spring collection opens
April 18 - Collection closes for Institutions
May 2 - Collection closes for Coordinators
