Gramm-Leach-Bailey Act (GLB)

There are two provisions in the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act that may affect educational institutions.  The Financial Privacy Rule governs the collection and disclosure of customers’ personal financial information.  The Safeguards Rule requires institutions to design, implement and maintain safeguards to protect customer information.
