CCA 2009-2010 Board of Directors

Rene R. Champagne, Chairman
Rene Champagne is the retired former Chairman and CEO of ITT Educational Services, Inc.  He stepped down as CEO after serving 21 years in that capacity and retired as Chairman of the Board in January 2008.  As of July 1, 2008, Rene was appointed Chairman of the Career College Association’s board of directors.

Jonathan Liebman, Vice-Chair
A CCA board member since 2002, Jon has chaired CCA's State Affairs, Professional Development and Awards committees and served as a member of CCA’s Allied Members, Convention, Awards, Litigation Oversight and Investment committees, as well as the Small College Advisory Council and Legislative Action Network. Jon was also a member of CCA’s Accountability Task Force and Small College Advisory board, a trustee of the Career College Foundation and a presenter at the CCA Leadership Institute. Currently, he is a team leader for ACCSCT.

Art Keiser, Treasurer
Arthur Keiser, Ph.D. is Chancellor and CEO of Keiser University, Keiser Career College and Southeastern Institute.  He also serves as Treasurer and member of the Board of Trustees of Everglades University.

Jim Tolbert, Past Chair
Mr. Tolbert is the Chief Executive Officer of Education Futures Group, LLC in Birmingham, AL. Prior to joining Education Futures Group, Jim served as Chief Financial Officer of Virginia College, a Birmingham-based career college group.  Jim has also served on the Alabama Association of Private Colleges and Schools and served on the Mayor’s Birmingham Area Technology Task Force.  Jim also remains active as an ACICS evaluator.
