Executive Vice President of Government Relations and General Counsel
Sally Stroup was named Executive Vice President for Government Relations and General Counsel of the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities in July 2012. Sally is an experienced senior executive with more than twenty-five years of combined State and Federal Government legislative and executive experience.
Prior to joining APSCU, Sally spent almost three years as Deputy General Counsel of Scantron Corporation where she advised the President on legal issues relating to a broad range of corporate transactions and regulatory matters. Prior to 2009, Sally spent a combined fourteen (14) years working on Capitol Hill for the U.S. House of Representatives Education and Workforce Committee and for the Administration. She was the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Postsecondary Education at the United States Department of Education from 2002-2006.
Sally received a B.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.

To remain competitive over the next decade, we must identify between 8 and 23 million new workers with postsecondary skills. PSCUs are a necessary part of that solution, having produced over 800,000 degrees last year alone.
