Product Trainer - FAME - Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Since the founding of our company in 1978, FAME has been dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of postsecondary educational institutions both those participating in the Federal financial aid programs and those seeking quality, affordable Student Information Systems. FAME prides itself on providing comprehensive, high quality, secure, cost effective Student Information Systems and efficient, accurate processing and management of Federal Title IV funding for Colleges and Private Career Schools.

FAME's philosophy on customer support emphasizes a "client first" approach.  Our Financial Aid Service Representatives, Technicians, Implementation and Consulting Services Staff possess financial aid expertise, extensive training on our software computer operations as well as Federal regulations.  FAME clients can add this wealth of knowledge and experience to their operations.  Our courteous and experienced implementation and training teams combined with the efficiency of our software applications, when coupled with our dedication to customer service, secure our clients future growth and sustainability.

We are seeking a full time Technical Trainer to develop and conduct training courses for both internal and external customers and who has the creativity, eye for detail and exceptional technical and interpersonal skills to rock the training field.
Have you always enjoyed understanding something/how it works and helping others “get it” too.  Are you the first person your friends call when “oops” I think I did something wrong and don’t know how to fix it – HELP!.  Learning is your passion and love to “pay it forward”; your eye for detail catches far beyond the inaccuracies in the help files – it quickly helps you see the probable limitations, abilities and temperaments of those you train so you can adapt your methods quickly and seamlessly.  Different groups have varying learning requirements and you are an ace at getting the point across to novices and experts alike.
We love it when our training teams understand enough geek speak to be able to gather instructional information from the programming team on what works and how they can pass that on to those of us less “knowledgeable” without making us feel stupid.
You’ve got to be really proficient with various technologies that make your training materials easy and quick to train and learn – PowerPoint, screenshots that look like a professional put them together, instructor-led online training experience as well as classroom style for external and in house training opportunities.
Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter and up-to-date on the latest instructional trends and techniques, backed by research and experience. A great personality doesn’t hurt either!  Or someone who’s never met a stranger.

We require that you have the following along with the awesome personality!
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Computer Science or related field.
- 3-5 years experience supporting clients along with 2 years in a professional training capacity
- Ability to generate enthusiasm and act as an agent of change and innovation is a critical characteristic
- Experience with post-secondary education, financial aid or other financial application is highly preferable.
- The rest we think was pretty clear above.

We offer a full benefits package consisting of medical, dental, vision, LTD/Life, supplemental insurance as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with exceptional matching contributions- not to mention an awesome working environment!
