Presidential candidates in the general election and even in the primaries have spent little time focusing on higher education, disappointing given how important the topic is to the future of our country. But perhaps not surprising given that it is not as sexy as terrorism or the financial crisis. Even more disappointing is that when they talk about workforce training, they often narrow their focus to the community college system.
